Michael Kellington was born in 1966 in Pasadena, California. When Michael was a small child his parents took him on a trip around the world, and exposed him to many different cultures and languages.
Michael grew up in the Applegate and graduated from Medford High School in 1984. He attended college at Southern Oregon State College (now Southern Oregon University) and University of Oregon. He then went on to Law School at the University of Puget Sound (now Seattle University) graduating in 1996. He received his Bar License in the State of Washington where he practiced law there as a public defender, and worked at Briggs and Briggs specializing in personal injury.
Michael worked with his sister Wendie Kellington shortly after that, doing land use law, zoning, variances, and other land-use related litigation, before being invited to practice with his father Daniel F. Kellington in personal injury litigation, medical malpractice, wrongful death and other injury cases.
For almost 18 years, Michael practiced with Dan at Kellington & Kellington in the field of personal injury litigation (and in the criminal arena) until 2015 when he decided to restrict his practice to criminal defense.
Michael now practices solely criminal defense, and related criminal issues, such as expungements, gun-rights relief petitions, and other collateral criminal and quasi-criminal work, including traffic tickets and other municipal or justice court matters.
In his free time when he’s not spending time with his wife and two daughters, he enjoys medieval jousting, swordplay, Dungeons and Dragons and other role-playing games.
